The Mount Vernon Chamber of Commerce is a business organization that promotes the business interests of its members, fosters general commerce in the region, and supports the betterment of the Mount Vernon community.

Networking Opportunities: The Chamber facilitates member-to-member connections through well-publicized Chamber events and presents a wide variety of programs providing you with hundreds of opportunities to make profitable new business contacts. The Chamber Membership Directory serves as a business resource guide that is distributed throughout the community. The Chamber Website allows us to communicate with the membership on an ongoing basis, to attract new members, and to share information and concerns.

Discounted Health Benefits: The Chamber offers easy access to several health and dental programs for small businesses. Programs include Oxford Health Plans for sole proprietorships or groups of 2-50 employees, as well as workers compensation insurance, payroll, disability insurance and 401K plans.

Economic Development: The Chamber helps members grow, prosper and remain competitive while attracting new business investment. The Chamber sponsors informational seminars so members may take advantage of Empire Zone incentives and rebates.

Educational Resources: The Chamber partners with Westchester Community College and SCORE to sponsor workshops and seminars to provide businesses with ideas and information.

Monitor Business-Related Issues: The Chamber evaluates business-related and quality-of-life issues and reports findings to the membership.

Community Betterment: The Chamber co-sponsors the Grand Prix, Sidewalk Sale Days, International Parade of Flags, Arts on Third Festival, Summer Breeze Concerts, And Holiday Promotions to enhance the Chamber image as a responsible leader for the betterment of the Mount Vernon community. A stronger community results in greater business opportunities.
